A large share of holiday flights into Antalya are charters, and charters love awkward hours — a landing at half past one in the morning is entirely normal in peak season. Arriving in the small hours is not a problem in itself, but it changes what you can rely on. Here is what the airport is actually like after midnight, and how to make a late arrival as smooth as a daytime one.

There is an upside to a 2am landing: passport control and baggage are often quicker than at midday, and the terminal is calmer. The downside is that everything supporting your onward journey is thinner. Fewer staff, fewer information desks open, and — crucially — a much shorter supply of taxis than during the day. The queue that moves quickly at noon can be a long, slow wait at 2am when only a handful of cars are working, and prices at that hour are rarely in your favour.

Improvising a ride is manageable in daylight and genuinely stressful after midnight. You are tired, possibly travelling with sleeping children, and the fallback options that exist during the day have largely gone home. This is the exact scenario where a pre-booked transfer is worth the most: not because the drive is different, but because the alternative — standing in a dark forecourt hoping a car turns up — is at its worst.

Late arrivals are common in Antalya and nothing to worry about — but they are the flights on which a booked, tracked transfer earns its place most clearly.
