Money questions are the small anxieties that hover over an otherwise simple transfer. Should you have cash ready? Which currency? Is a tip expected, and how much? None of it is complicated once explained, and the whole point of a pre-booked private transfer is that the answers are settled before you travel rather than negotiated on a hot forecourt. Both are normal. Many travellers prefer to pay the driver in cash on arrival, and a fixed fare makes that easy because you already know the exact amount. Tipping is appreciated but not obligatory, and it is never built into a fixed fare by stealth. If your driver has been genuinely helpful — carried heavy bags, waited patiently through a delay, been careful with children — a modest tip is a kind gesture and always welcome. But there is no fixed percentage you are expected to add, and no awkwardness if you simply pay the agreed fare. A tip should feel like thanks, not a toll.
